This Day in History: 1946-09-02

Nelson woke up his neighbors on Halvern at 6 am yesterday when he was in his back yard singing and feeding his chickens. He then went to stay at his mother’s overnight. Today Isabel attended his “Bell Telephone” radio show but she left after the first broadcast. (In those days, live radio shows were often broadcast first for the East coast and then the entire show was repeated later for the West coast listeners.)
