1937 Jeanette and Nelson attend a party at the Trocadero together. "Maytime" was still filming and we can assume that this was the tail end of their short-lived reconciliation. A week later Nelson left on his annual concert tour. He was soon giving bitter interviews to the press that were thinly disguised attacks against Jeanette and her ever-present career drive.
