Today in J/N History

1939 Nelson gives a concert in San Antonio. During the early part of this yearly tour his new wife, Ann, traveled with him. But as they headed East reviewers noted his voice sounded strained and he didn't seem to be in top form. Finally he sent Ann back to Los Angeles and finished the tour alone. (Note: during his tour the previous year, Jeanette traveled with him for part of it.)
