1938 The final script for "Let Freedom Ring" was approved this week for filming. Originally this movie was scheduled for production in late 1935 co-starring Nelson and Jeanette as their follow-up to "Naughty Marietta". The 1938 script would obviously have removed any major duets and solo numbers for the female lead, since Virginia Bruce was now Nelson's co-star.
