1939 A Beverly Hills shop, acting for a wealthy client, made MGM a $10,000 offer to buy Jeanette's entire wardrobe of 18 dresses from "Sweethearts". The studio wanted $10,000 for it. According to the article: "If the deal goes through, it will be the first of its kind in Hollywood history."
