A Nelson Eddy project you can help with!

Nelson Eddy and the Hollywood Star Walk of Fame in the Los Angeles Times:

The Times is working on adding more biographical information about Nelson Eddy. Do you think Nelson Eddy should be a top priority for a more complete page? If so, leave a comment letting us know why.

As The Times continues to work on the Hollywood Star Walk database, readers are asked to help identify other stars on the Walk of Fame whom Nelson Eddy should be connected to, as well as locations in the world that were meaningful.

If you’d like to help with this project and give your comments, here is the link.

Today in J/N History

1948 “Three Daring Daughters” is released. (Jeanette and Nelson originally were to do this film together; MGM insisted on Jose Iturbi instead.) Jeanette sings “Sweethearts” (from the 1938 film with Nelson). With the intro lyrics she looks at Iturbi, who is accompanying her (and with whom her character is in love). But when she gets to the main part (a duet with Nelson in their film) she turns and sings instead to the orchestra! This curious fact is covered up by shooting her face in closeup so you don’t notice how very odd this is that she does not face Iturbi.
