Finally, a Lifetime Member receives 10% off anything else that is ordered. We are now offering the Anna May Wong bust sculpted by Nelson Eddy as a choice for your special offer with purchase of a Lifetime Membership. So this week – for the price of a replica sculpture by Nelson Eddy – either his self-portrait, his bust of Jeanette MacDonald or of Anna May Wong – you also get a Lifetime Membership with all its perks! Or – you can choose a custom 16×20 oil painting of Jeanette and Nelson from one of their films instead of a bust – it’s your choice! A Lifetime Membership in the Mac/Eddy Club gives you many benefits and helps our club. A basic $50 membership covers the cost of printing our glossy magazine and the mailings that go out to you and the membership. It does not begin to cover the many other expenses involved in running the club which include all the projects in research, preservation of materials, administration of the website, and bringing in necessary outside help to assist in bulk mailings and major time-consuming projects.

Many thoughtful and understanding members donate extra funds as they can (which is always appreciated), or when renewal time comes around. However, we also offer a special Lifetime Membership, that you might want to take advantage of. It entitles you to the following:

* Receive all club journals at no additional charge

* Free admission to any club events anywhere in the U.S. or the world, including luncheons, dinners and special events (excludes cruises)

* One copy every year of our glossy, photo-filled Mac/Eddy calendar

* A 10% discount on most items you purchase directly from the club. This includes the following: books, magazines, DVDs, CDs and calendars, etc. It does not include any third-party vendors such as our CafePress boutique (makers of our mugs, shirts and mousepads), our stamps at Zazzle.com or any of our future products that are sold or shipped to you by a business other than Mac/Eddy.

Here’s how it works.  With purchase of a Lifetime Membership you may choose one of the Limited Edition life-size busts sculpted by Nelson Eddy, either of himself, Jeanette MacDonald, or Anna May Wong. With our special sale this week, you are virtually paying for the bust of your choice…and getting the Lifetime Membership for free!

The other option: You can choose to have an original oil painting by the Larry Williams Studio that will be used on an upcoming cover of our magazine, Mac/Eddy Today.Our magazine covers are original oil paintings taken from a black-and-white photo. You choose the photo of the team that you want, as long as it is not a photo that we’ve already used. If you don’t know which photo to have for your painting, just let us know which film you prefer and we’ll show you some suggestions and help you make your choice! Once your painting is done, we will “shoot” it for the magazine cover and then you will receive the original–in an expensive and beautiful frame!

For those of you new to our club, Larry Williams was our cover portrait artist for Mac/Eddy Today from 1977 until 2002. His paintings were commissioned by several Presidents, including Bush, Sr. and the Clinton White House, and last time we checked, his paintings of Jeanette and Nelson appraised at over $2500 each! His portrait studio is still active, as he turned the business over to his daughter and trained others to continue his work. The gorgeous covers for Issue #65 -68 are an example of the new “regime” carrying on Larry’s excellence. See below for an example of how you can have an Jeanette-Nelson oil painting done.
