What’s included: Our group cruises prices include all taxes and government fees prepaid. Each cabin also gets $100 of shipboard credit to be spent on anything except excursions. Plus you’ll have a complementary bottle of champagne and chocolates in your room when you arrive!

The bottom line: Other websites that sell cruises may seem to offer a “cheaper” price for the same cruise but they do not include the options that you are prepaying with us. We book your cruise directly with Carnival and if you are 55+ or have previously sailed with Carnival, we always check to see if Carnival can provide a free upgrade or better discount than our quoted group rate. Since this is a private event, only those passengers booked through this website will be admitted to our private events.

Convention Fee: In addition to the cruise fare, a $100 per person non-refundable Mac/Eddy Registration Fee is due on or before final payment.  On the day we board the ship, you will be issued I.D. Badges and a special “goodie bag” with special shirts and tote bags. Children 12 and younger do not have to pay the Convention Fee. The link to pay this fee is here.

Cabins will not be reserved until after payment is received. We cannot “hold” cabins for you; you can do that by booking your cruise. All prices quoted are for double occupancy unless otherwise noted;  if you would like a roommate, let us know and we’ll try to match you up.

Cruise Rates: Your cruise must be paid in full with a credit card when you book your reservation. Prices may increase as we get closer to the cruise. You will pay the best available group rate for the day you book, also figuring in whether you are 55+ or have traveled on Carnival before.  Carnival Cruises has the right to implement a fuel surcharge of $9 per person per day if the price of crude oil reaches $70+ per barrel.

Trip Cancellation Insurance: We strongly recommend that you purchase Carnival’s trip insurance for your cruise. It’s very affordable and gives you peace of mind about your trip. Your Trip Protection Policy covers: Trip Cancellation, Trip Interruption, Trip Delay, Emergency Evacuation, Accident Medical Expense, Sickness Medical Expense, Baggage Protection…Plus 24 Hour Worldwide Emergency Assistance. Price:

$79 for Indoor Cabins 4B and 4C
$95 for Balcony

Cancellation Guidelines: Hopefully you will take the optional Trip Protection Policy mentioned above. Otherwise, cancellation penalties are charged in the event of either partial or full stateroom cancellations as noted on the following dates:

October 20, 2009 or after- $250 per person
January 5, 2010 or after – 50%
January 28, 2010 or after – 100%

Once again, your smartest choice is to take the Trip Protection Policy!

Flight Times: If you are flying to Baltimore for the cruise, make sure your flight arrives at the airport no later than 2 pm on February 7. For your return flight on February 14, make sure you book a flight home leaving at 2:30 pm or later. You can take a cab from the airport to the ship (should cost about $30 one way) but you may prefer to use Carnival’s transfer service, which is $25 each way ($50 round trip). The benefit of this is that they will pick you up at baggage claim and then make sure you leave the ship after the cruise and get you back to the airport in plenty of time for your flight.

Prepaid Gratuities: We recommend that you prepay your cruise gratuities. At $10/day, it covers your cabin and dining room stewards and you don’t have to worry about tipping once you’re on the ship. The rules for prepaid gratuities are as follows: If one person in your cabin prepays, anyone else in the same cabin must also pre-pay. If you decide not to prepay, Carnival will add the gratuities to your shipboard account. Again, it’s best to take care of it in advance.

Airfare or Hotel: You can book these yourself online at MaceddyTravel.com. Or, if you need help please call Sharon at 646-321-8504 or email us at maceddytravel@yahoo.com . We can help you find a low fare or any needed hotel at a discount rate.

Carnival Pride: This ship will stop at 3 ports so you have the opportunity to take advantage of the many exciting excursions if you wish. (Please ask if you’d like recommendations as to which excursions to take.) The ship also has a gym, pool, spa, library, dancing, lounges, casino, bingo, Broadway-style shows and other amenities. There’s also a business center with Internet available. So…can you bring along a spouse, significant other and/or family member/friend that isn’t a Jeanette and Nelson fanatic? Of course you can, and let them know that they will find plenty of other activities to fill their days!

All You Can Eat: Carnival Pride has food available for you 24/7! You have the choice of eating your meals in the dining room or on the Lido deck buffet. 24/7 pizza and the 24/7 hamburger grill are also available, as well as a midnight buffet. If this isn’t enough, you can also order room service at no extra charge! No matter your diet preferences, you won’t go hungry. There are no additional fees to eat in the formal dining room and all the food is included in your cruise fare. Alcoholic drinks and soda are extra; you can buy them separately on your onboard sign-and-sail card, or the ship offers a set price for drinks and/or sodas for the entire cruise.

Early or Late Dinner Seating: Because of our convention schedule, we will request early seating for you unless you request otherwise. However, dinner seating is subject to Carnival’s availability.

Proof of Citizenship: Each passenger must bring proper proof of citizenship. A valid passport is required. Anyone without proper proof of citizenship will be denied boarding. Make sure you make your reservation under your legal name as shown on your passport. The cruise line will charge you if your name has to be changed on the paperwork to match your legal name. For example: If your drivers license says “Mary H. Smith” and your passport says “Mary Hillary Smith” – you must register as “Mary Hillary Smith.”

Are you 21 or under?: Minors are considered to be 21 years of age or younger. Carnival Cruises requires that a minor travel with someone 25 years or older in the same cabin. If you are a minor, you will need to have a parent/legal guardian consent form signed and faxed to us; bring the signed original with you as you may need to show it when you board the ship.
