“The Merry “Widow” production at London Coliseum

The Merry Widow was a huge success when premiered in Vienna in 1905 and remains one of the most enduringly popular of all operettas and was later filmed by Metro-Goldwyn-Meyer (1934) starring Jeanette MacDonald in the title role opposite Maurice Chevalier as Count Danilo. The Merry Widow forms part of ENO’s 2007/08 Sky Arts Season and opens at the London Coliseum on Saturday 26 April 2008 for 12 performances.

Performance dates: April 26 (Press Night - early start at 6.30pm) & 29 (sign-language interpreted performance) and May 1, 3 (matinee at 3.00pm), 6, 7, 9, 10 (early start at 6.30pm), 20, 21, 29 & 30 at 7.30pm.
