Jeanette MacDonald & Nelson Eddy fans: Join us today 4/19 in NYC!


Join us for the New York Premiere of the musical “A Scandalous Affair” based on the book “Sweethearts”- one night only! April 19, 2009, 8 pm at Merkin Hall near Lincoln Center.
Address: 129 W 67th St (near Broadway.) There will be a reception/book signing with Sharon Rich after the performance.

Our actual club meeting in NYC will be earlier in the day. We’ll be showing some rare video clips, have a Q&A session with Sharon Rich have a memorabilia sale and spend the afternoon together! We will also be screening excerpts of some of the interviews quoted in the biography “Sweethearts.” Here are the details:

Holiday Inn Midtown 57th St.
440 West 57th Street (between 9th and 10th, close to Columbus Circle), NYC
Time:1-4 pm, ask for the Mac/Eddy group. Light refreshments served.
No RSVP needed, just come to the meeting!

NOTE: The $20 charge for this club meeting is waived for you as long as you purchase your ticket for the Merkin Hall performance that evening! Just show your e-ticket or receipt at the club meeting for free admission!

After the meeting, those that want to join us will head out to an affordable nearby restaurant (to be chosen, so make sure to budget that in) and after that, the group will head over to the Merkin Theater for the 8 pm performance!
